Maciej Pawlik (真志) is a Disaster Scientist at UCL, and a Green Party political candidate based in the UK.

He is interested in increasing resilience through improving human-nature interactions in the face of oncoming disasters. His research is heavily applied, utilising creative learning interventions supported by posthumanist philosophy.

Areas of research interest include: disaster resilience, human-nature interactions, nature-based solutions, green learning & creative methods. He seeks to make insights from research accessible to wider audiences, translating complex ideas into creative outputs.

His work has featured across various mediums, including within the Environment Magazine, across UCL's press releases and in UNDRR's PreventionWeb Blog. He shares updates on LinkedIn, Mastodon, & X.

In 2024, he was the Green Party candidate for Esher and Walton in the United Kingdom general election, securing over 1.3k votes and passionately making the case for voting Green at hustings.
